Day 1: Lake Manyara National Park
Your safari begins with a morning pickup from your hotel at 8:00 AM, followed by a scenic drive across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park. Despite its relatively small size, the park offers remarkable scenery, with lush groundwater forests, towering fig trees, mahogany trees, and open grasslands. During your game drive, look out for large troops of baboons, blue monkeys, elephants, giraffes, impalas, and buffaloes. The lake attracts hippos and a variety of waterbirds, making it an excellent destination for wildlife viewing and photography. Depending on your interests and available time, optional activities such as a guided cycling excursion or a boat trip may also be possible when available. In the late afternoon, you will leave the park and head to a luxury lodge overlooking the surrounding landscape, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and spend the night. -
Day 2: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park, travelling through the scenic landscapes of Tanzania's Northern Circuit. As you approach the Serengeti, the scenery opens into vast grasslands that stretch towards the horizon, revealing the endless plains for which the park is famous. The Serengeti is home to an extraordinary diversity of wildlife and is renowned for the Great Wildebeest Migration, when vast herds of wildebeest and zebras move across the ecosystem in search of fresh grazing. Throughout your journey and game drives, you may encounter lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and numerous antelope species. Migration sightings depend on the season and the herds' movements. Later in the day, you will arrive at a luxury lodge in Central Serengeti, where you can unwind, enjoy dinner, and spend the night surrounded by the wilderness. -
Day 3: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro
Rise early for a morning game drive in the Serengeti, when wildlife is often more active and the soft morning light creates excellent opportunities for photography. Explore the plains in search of predators and other wildlife before returning to your lodge for brunch. Afterward, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying further wildlife viewing and scenic landscapes along the way. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa's most extraordinary natural wonders, with steep volcanic walls enclosing a diverse ecosystem of grasslands, forests, swamps, and a soda lake. Its crater floor supports an impressive concentration of wildlife, including lions, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, and wildebeest. The area is also one of the best places in Tanzania to look for the endangered black rhinoceros. You will arrive at a luxury tented camp on the crater rim in time to relax and enjoy the spectacular surroundings before dinner and an overnight stay. -
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Begin your final safari day with an early breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive. The crater's varied habitats support an exceptional range of wildlife, offering opportunities to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, and spotted hyenas. Keep an eye out for the endangered black rhinoceros as you explore the crater floor with your guide. You will also visit the vicinity of Lake Magadi, where flamingos and other waterbirds may be seen depending on the conditions. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the designated hippo pool area before continuing with a short afternoon game drive. Later, you will ascend the crater walls and leave the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for your return journey to Arusha. Arrival is expected at approximately 5:00 PM, although the schedule can be adjusted where possible to accommodate onward travel arrangements. Your safari concludes upon arrival in Arusha.
