Day 1: Arusha or JRO Airport to Tarangire National Park
Upon arrival at Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll meet your safari guide and begin the drive to Tarangire National Park. You’ll have a packed lunch to enjoy during the day. Once inside the park, set out on an afternoon game drive through open savannah, seasonal swamps and the Tarangire River valley. Look for the park’s large elephant herds and distinctive baobab trees. You may also see giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and impalas, as well as lions, cheetahs or leopards. Wildlife sightings vary, and your guide will help you look for animals and share insights about the park. After the game drive, continue to Farm of Dreams Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. A packed lunch and dinner are included today. Drinking water is provided; other drinks are not included. -
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha or JRO Airport
After breakfast at the lodge, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From the crater rim, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive across its grasslands, woodlands and lakeshore. The crater is home to a rich variety of wildlife, including lions, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest and hyenas. Black rhinos also live in the crater, though they can be difficult to spot. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the day before beginning the drive back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Your arrival time will depend on the length of the game drive, road conditions and your onward travel arrangements. Breakfast and lunch are included today, with drinking water provided. Other drinks and dinner are not included. This marks the end of your safari.
