Tour Plan
-
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Arusha
After arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport and completing the required arrival procedures, meet your guide, who will help with your luggage and transfer you to Arusha. On arrival, your guide can assist with check-in. The rest of the day is free to relax after your journey and prepare for the safari. Breakfast is included today; lunch and dinner are not included. Drinks are not included. -
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast and a short safari briefing, drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Although it is quieter than some of Tanzania’s more visited parks, Tarangire offers a memorable safari experience, with baobab trees, river landscapes and large herds of elephants. Depending on the season, wildlife gathers near the Tarangire River. Look out for giraffes, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest and predators as you explore the park. At lunchtime, your guide will set up a table for a freshly served meal, including soup, followed by wine, tea or coffee. Continue the game drive through the afternoon, then drive to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. All meals and drinks are included today, except spirits and liquor. -
Day 3: Tarangire to the Central Serengeti
Travel onward to the Central Serengeti, known for its resident wildlife and open plains. The Seronera area, with its river and surrounding habitat, attracts animals throughout the year. Look for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras and antelope, as well as lions, cheetahs and leopards. During the day, your guide will prepare a table for lunch, including soup, followed by wine, tea or coffee. Continue with a game drive into the afternoon before heading to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay. All meals and drinks are included today, except spirits and liquor. -
Day 4: Full-day game drive in the Serengeti
After breakfast, set out for a game drive in the Serengeti. Explore the plains and other habitats with your guide, looking for wildlife and learning about the area’s ecosystem. The Great Migration moves through different parts of the Serengeti over the year, so the herds’ location depends on the season. Stop for lunch during the game drive, with soup followed by wine, tea or coffee. Continue exploring into the afternoon. Later, enjoy a sundowner with drinks in the bush before returning to camp for dinner and an overnight stay. All meals and drinks are included today, except spirits and liquor. -
Day 5: Serengeti game drive and journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, enjoy a game drive in the Serengeti, keeping watch for big cats, elephants and other wildlife. Your route will take you through part of the ecosystem that supports one of Africa’s great wildlife migrations. Pause for lunch, including soup followed by wine, tea or coffee, then continue your game drive. Later, drive to your lodge in the Karatu area for dinner and an overnight stay. All meals and drinks are included today, except spirits and liquor. -
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart with a picnic lunch and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Explore the crater floor, surrounded by steep walls and varied habitats that support a rich concentration of wildlife. Look for lions, buffalo, elephants, zebras and other animals. Black rhinos also live in the crater, though sightings are not guaranteed. Enjoy your picnic lunch during the day, then continue exploring before driving to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. All meals and drinks are included today, except spirits and liquor. -
Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
Set out early for Lake Manyara National Park, a rewarding place to look for birds and wildlife. More than 400 bird species have been recorded in the park. Around the floodplain and lake, you may see waterbirds, while the acacia woodland is known for elephants and tree-climbing lions. Sightings vary, but your guide will help you search for wildlife throughout the game drive. At lunchtime, enjoy a meal served in the shade beside the vehicle, followed by wine, tea or coffee. Continue with the game drive after lunch, then drive back to Arusha for your drop-off. Breakfast and lunch are included today, along with drinks except spirits and liquor. Dinner is not included.
